This new Aero jacket is a button up version of our legendary “Bootlegger” although historically the button up version would have pre dated the Bootlegger. With this in mind it seemed appropriate to name this jacket “Moonshiner”, after all a Moonshiner would have come before a Bootlegger in the Prohibition dateline!

Styling is firmly based in the early 1920s when two hand warmer pockets were most typical of this style of jacket, we’ve used vintage style Corozo buttons for the front and cuff closure, a classic period style bi-swing back. We’ve raised the armhole slightly and narrowed the sleeve slightly in comparison to the Bootlegger, in keeping with the slimmer cut of the earlier jackets.

The sample jacket uses a Harris Tweed lining with cotton in the sleeve but the standard jacket comes with a full cotton lining. If you’d like a Harris Tweed lining you can upgrade to this.
