The lightweight R.A.F. Jacket is a custom tailored variant of the original R.A.F. Bomber design. While the original R.A.F. Jacket was created with open cockpit trainers in mind, the jacket proved too cumbersome for the tight enclosed cockpit of the Spitfire. R.A.F. Pilots had tailors short shear their jackets to allow for more freedom of movement. Light enough to wear with a sweater and other layering pieces; it is an incredibly contemporary piece of clothing designed by artisans years ago but an easy piece for the field or street.
